About
I am very interested in using technology for kids education. In fact, at age 43, despite never having worked in education or in online marketing, I decided I wanted to spend the rest of my career working in online education.
After two years of working with others, I decided that to do it right, I would have to launch my own company providing online education to kids. That was five years ago and I have had to learn a lot to get started and to achieve some success. My point of departure is that my company needs to be learning/doing machine. We’re constantly learning, trying, evaluating, testing, and improving our services and our marketing of them. We’ve carved out a nice little niche with thousands of very enthusitic members (ie customers) and a mailing list of people that have signed up for more information that is getting to six figures!
Part of our success is that I know it’s 30% product, 30% marketing, 30% service and support, and 10% luck. This blog is part of the marketing effort. My basic philosophy is to focus on providing real online curriculum. And then, I enhance the core curriculum with lots of marketing and sites built around educational games. We have some great educational alternatives to A Beka. Wehave a really good service to help study for your spelling bee. And I’m working on learning games.
